Andrieh Vitimus and L’Heure Noir

Andrieh VitimusI attended L’Heure Noir on Saturday, an event which featured workshops by Andrieh Vitimus, author of Hands-On Chaos Magic. The event was hosted at the Worker Arts and Heritage Centre, which I was surprised to discover is considered the most haunted building in Hamilton.

A mutual friend had suggested that Andrieh invite me and send his book for review,  and I’m pleased she did. I don’t often get the chance to meet other chaotes outside my usual circles, and was glad to have the opportunity to do so.

The train ride up from Toronto to Hamilton was fraught with adventure, and Hamilton seems to be utterly deprived of coffee houses along James street, but I endured, and eventually had a lot of fun. Continue reading »

HPPD, Toronto Pagans, moral insanity and lucid dreaming

Saturday Signal: sifting the signal from the noise of the Internet’s occultural cacophony.

Today was Pagan Pride Day at the Pagan Harvest Festival in Hamilton, Ontario.  I was set to leave Toronto at 7 am, but I had a heck of a time getting there due to a “trespasser” on the train tracks which turned into a “fatality” according to intermittent updates from conflicting sources.  Instead of arriving before the festival began, I got there five minutes before my workshop was set to start at 11.  Continue reading »
