Saturday Signal: sifting the signal from the noise of the Internet’s occultural cacophony.

Schedule changes for Plutonica.net

By Psyche | June 30, 2008

Grandfather\'s Wedding in PenetanguisheneRegular readers will have noticed that our usual post-a-day momentum has not been maintained for the month of June.

Along with the summer come a variety of events which make it near impossible to sustain this posting rate, such as our Summer Solstice Feast, my Grandfather’s wedding (pictured left), my birthday and a host of other commitments.

As such, Plutonica.net‘s posting schedule will change from a post-a-day to three posts weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  We’ll continue keeping you up to date with the latest in occult news, publishing announcements, reviews, and showcasing insightful essays and commentary from our guest bloggers, never you fear.

Plutonica.net press and feedback

By Psyche | May 29, 2008

Earlier today Michael Szul posted a review of Plutonica.net on his blog Key64.net. He had some really positive things to say; you can read the review here (and check out the rest of the site while you’re there).

A few months ago John Crow commented on Plutonica.net in his “Interesting Blogs Meme” on his blog Treasure House of Pearls, and Caelum Rainieri said some nice things on PaleoNova recently, too.

I thought it might be fun to create a Press page to keep track of what people are saying about the blog, so you’ll now see that on the top navigation bar. Continue reading »

Guest blogging for Plutonica.net

By Psyche | May 25, 2008

The idea behind guest blogging is to showcase other bloggers and writers. It offers a chance to promote someone else’s work, and provides a change from my voice and style. Additionally, there are topics I might not think to cover that another person would.

After Kara Rae Garland (Soror Ceilede) guest blogged for us last month I’ve been looking into featuring more guest bloggers on Plutonica.net and have made some inquiries with several talented writers, and others have approached me about the possibility of writing for the site.

In light of this I’ve put together some suggestions covering the most common things I’ve been asked about here in Suggestions for Guest Bloggers. It covers things like topics, post length, and what to include in your byline.

If you’d be interested, or if you’d like to know more, contact me.
