Microsoft has released Cumulative Update 10 for Exchange Server 2013.
From the Microsoft Exchange Team blog:
The release includes fixes for customer reported issues, minor product enhancements and previously released security bulletins, including MS15-103.
Cumulative Update 10 does not include updates to Active Directory Schema, but does include additional RBAC definitions requiring PrepareAD to be executed prior to upgrading any servers to CU10. PrepareAD will run automatically during the first server upgrade if Setup detects this is required and the logged on user has sufficient permission.
The updates released today are important pre-requisites for customers with existing Exchange deployments who will deploy Exchange Server 2016. Cumulative Update 10 is the minimum version of Exchange Server 2013 which will co-exist with Exchange Server 2016.
Cumulative Update 10 is available for download here.
For deployment steps refer to this guide to installing cumulative updates for Exchange Server 2013.
Has anyone experienced any issues with CU10? I’m currently running CU7 in a 3 member DAG role, each running CAS/MBX roles on the same server. Thanks.
Good Day
I would like to ask if anyone had encounter error during cumulative update 10 and did not finish? And after i try to install it again it lead me into an error like TCP/IP netbios helper service isn’t running.
Hi Paul,
Do you know anything about the CU10 update for cross-forest delegate access and if this resolves the issue with hybrid migration batches requiring all shared mailboxes to be completed at the same time to keep permissions in tact?
A couple of posts talking about the updates:

Thanks,

I’m not across the details of it.
A failed ACU8 Install which is the recommended path of action uninstall or reapply?

I would fix the cause of the failure and reapply.
I believe you can
Although running it on a domain controller is not wise
We inherited an Exchange 2013 that is currently at SP1 (CU4) and resides on a 2012R2 Domain Controller and has been working without any issues for over a year. This is a simple small business environment with only about 15 mailboxes, and while overkill for environment, the business wants to keep using it. We would like to update it to the latest CU10.
Should we install CU10 without installing any previous CUs?
Thank you!

Technically you can. And it is supported to do so. But possibly not tested by Microsoft, so you may encounter unexpected issues.
Follow the guidance I link to in the article above, as it has at least one serious known issue that would be disastrous in a single server environment like yours. Other than that, take good backups and have a rollback/recovery plan if things go bad.
Maybe we should patch it just to CU9, but install a couple of CUs at a time…like what would have likely happened had it been patched more regularly.
