New book by Lon Milo DuQuette on Enochian magick
By Psyche | May 28, 2008

Red Wheel/Weiser is publishing Lon Milo DuQuette‘s latest book, Enochian Vision Magick: An Introduction and Practical Guide to the Magick of Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelley
. The book will be released June 2008.
DuQuette was recently interviewed by Lee Prosser on GhostVillage.com where he discusses the book and the work it’s founded on which rose out of a series of classes conducted in 2005 and 2006. Prosser asks some interesting questions, and DuQuette’s responses are likely to win some over with his easy-going style, and make others wince.
According to Weiser’s page for the book, DuQuette has practiced Dee’s system for over twenty-five years and “seized upon elements of the original Dee material overlooked by adepts of the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley, and other modern magicians”.
He’s written about Enochian magick as it pertained to Aleister Crowley in an earlier book with the late Christopher Hyatt in Enochian World of Aleister Crowley: Enochian Sex Magick published with New Falcon in 1991.
Enochian magick seems to be enjoying a recent comeback from what I’ve been seeing in various forums. DuQuette’s books are typically written in an easy, conversational style, and often quite funny, though he’s been criticized in the past for not pushing readers hard enough. It will be interesting to see how this new offering is received.
